Open day a success!

Local residents turned out to help celebrate Tattenhoe Sports Pavilion’s open day on Sunday 2nd April.

Activities and demonstrations were provided by community groups already enjoying the use of the new building including a 5-a-side football tournament, shotokan karate and Aikido demonstrations.

‘The Great Gappo’ kept the little ones entertained whilst Paul Heald from MK Dons presented souvenir footballs to children who participated in a penalty shoot-out against him.

Phil Collins, Chief Executive of Hertsmere Leisure, welcomed guests to the Pavilion and Milton Keynes' Mayor Phil Gerrella officially opened the new building, encouraging the community to make use of the excellent new facilities being built in Milton Keynes.

Contracts Manager Scott Beattie said “We hope the community will continue to enjoy the facilities available here and work with us to develop Tattenhoe as an invaluable community venue for all to enjoy.''
